Clinical Operations Manager- OR

IU Health is deepening its commitment to northeast Indiana through the construction of a new full-service hospital in Fort Wayne. Designed to expand access to high-quality, patient-centered care, the hospital will bring a broad range of services, including emergency, surgical, and specialty care, closer to home for individuals and families in the region. Through trusted partnerships, integrated care, and a growing team of skilled providers, IU Health Fort Wayne will advance our mission of making Indiana a healthier state for all. This new 140 bed hospital will employ 600+ team members and 60 providers delivering exceptional patient care across specialties. The facility will boast 10 PACU beds, 4 endoscopy, 26 pre/recovery, and 6 cath lab prep with 6 operating rooms.

The clinical manager of operations combines clinical experience and contemporary leadership practices with the IU Health Way to achieve excellent outcomes. Accountable for translating and achieving our strategic priorities and outcomes: quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences. Accountable for providing strategic vision and operational planning for assigned unit. Incumbents will lead an interprofessional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes. This role is accountable for advancing nursing practice by advocating and consistently embedding evidenced-base practices and professional nursing standards. Provides oversight of unit that is operational and staffed 24 x 7, weekends, and holidays.

This is a fully onsite role Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM with availability to round on evenings and weekends and on call one week out of four. Ideal candidates will have previous OR experience as well as SOP writing.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

• Requires a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN).
• If bachelor degree not in nursing, must have Master of Nursing (MSN).
• Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Specialty certification related to nursing practice or leadership is preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
