Performs routine manual housekeeping work c leaning areas within a DUHSentity.
Emp tytrash.Clean, mop, scrub, sweep or vacuum floors, stairways, and halls. Clean, wash, dust, or polish hardware, brass, furniture, mirrors,bedside lighting fixtures, vents, radiators, and exteriors of cabinetsand equip ment.Clean patient rooms and/or offices thoroughly by mopping floors, wa shingfurniture, scrubbing plastic cushions, frames and cleaning and wash ingbathroom fixtures and walls.Clean drinking fountains, ice-making mach inesand sand urns; cleanblinds with damp cloth or vacuum.Report repairs needed to supervisors including broken or cracked windowpanes, leaky fau cets, toilets, loose tiles, broken blinds anddamagedfurniture.Follow all universal precautions, blood borne pathogen procedures anduse personal protective equipment as needed while cleaning patient careareas.May dust mop, wax and buff floors and shampoos carpets.May be required to perfor m'Seven Step' cleaning of all surgical areas,wall cleaning, machine scru bbing of floors (no finish) and related taskswith particular attention t ospecialized needs in the surgical area.Perform related duties as assign ed.
