Sports Medicine Faculty
University of Alabama at Birmingham
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Department of Family and Community Medicine is seeking to hire a faculty physician in Sports Medicine. Our department is committed to continuous improvement in patient care, education, research, and service. We are actively searching for an individual who can contribute to our mission of high-quality patient care, excellence in education, and the progression of science through scholarship. Our current sports medicine team provides medical oversight for UAB Athletes (Division I), Birmingham Legion FC Professional Soccer team, Birmingham Bulls Professional Hockey, Birmingham Vulcans Rugby, USA Wheelchair Rugby, the 2022 World Games, and more.
Aside from direct patient care, individuals will participate in the following:
Consideration will be given to board-certified MD or DO for a full-time position. Position is a twelve-month, open rank, open tenure faculty position. Salary, rank, and tenure commensurate with experience and qualifications.
