The Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center (LSCVAMC) in Cleveland, Ohio is seeking an outstanding physician to serve as an inpatient provider. The LSCVAMC, the largest VA facility in Ohio, provides the full continuum of care for SCI patients, including home care, primary care, rehabilitation, medical, surgical and extended care. The program includes a 32 bed inpatient unit and a 26 bed long term care SCI unit.
The program has one opening for a full-time Physician in the SCI service The duties include providing inpatient medical care and consultative services in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment for acute and chronic Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) patients and participating in pre-admission screening, discharge planning, and interdis-ciplinary team rounds.
S/he will be board certified or eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Internal Medicine or Family Medi-cine. In addition to direct patient care, opportunities for residency and fellowship education, research, and pro-gram development are available. The selected candidate will work Monday – Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with on-call duties required (evenings/weekends), as necessary.
