We currently have a position available for a Full Time Support Services- Patient Transportation Supervisor at Del Amo Hospital, a 166-bed behavioral health facility that is located in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. The Support Services - Patient Transportation Supervisor oversees the variety of services in the areas of transportation, environmental services, security, nursing support, dietary services, and maintenance for the Outpatient Services Program (Facility).  Responsibilities include but are not limited to the scheduling of the drivers ensuring adequate coverage and accurate timekeeping; safe transport of patients to and from the program and various appointments, safely and punctually; maintaining vehicle according to maintenance checklist and completing inspections of vehicle before each shift.  Conducts ongoing vehicle fleet maintenance, safety checks and inspections in compliance with California Highway Patrol and Facility requirements.  This includes keeping all vehicle and driver documentation current.   This position also ensures the orderly and sanitary conditions of the facility, responds to security needs of the facility, personnel and guests, and assists the front lobby reception during visiting hours to ensure that contraband is checked.

4. Effectively utilizes computer, computer programs, internet, websites, etc.

5. Communicates with people at all levels; maintain strong working relationships with hospital staff and Leadership Team.

7. Self-starter and works independently; must be able to perform assignments with minimal or no supervision;

8. Organizational skills, efficiently prioritizes and completes assignments to meet necessary deadlines.

9. Must be able to drive in all traffic conditions and environments, and maintain safe driving record while employed.

1. Must be able to interact positively with patients on a daily basis whose behavior may be difficult, uncooperative or aggressive.

2. Must have basic knowledge of H.V.A.C. equipment, electrical, plumbing, mechanical equipment and plant operations;

3. Familiar use of hand and power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments;

4. Must be able to comprehend and perform oral and written instructions and procedures;

5. Must be capable of adapting to varying workloads an work assignments on a constant basis;

6. The ability to function in a caring and empathetic manner with clients and their families.

7. Diplomacy and tact is required in all interactions including dealing with members of the Medical and Hospital staff

8. Must be able to work successfully under highly stressful conditions;

9. Must be able to make sound, independent judgments based on ethical principles;

10. Must be able to comprehend and perform oral and written instructions and procedures;

11. Must be able to collaborate with other multidisciplinary team members in an appropriate fashion;
