CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Neonatal Intensive Care is home to the region's most advanced and specialized care for healthy babies and those born too sick, too small or too soon. Work in a state of the art environment with the highly trained medical specialists who staff our Level III NICU unit. The 24-bed, Level III NICU was designed with our patients and their families in mind. We have a private consultation room, a Parent's Lounge for family and visitors, and our individual patient rooms provide newborns with the maximum level of comfort and privacy possible in a hospital setting. We provide specialized medical care utilizing state-of-the-art respiratory technology, monitoring equipment, nutritional support and we incorporate the latest advancements in developmental care support to eliminate unnecessary stress levels for our patients. Our highly-trained NICU team includes board certified Neonatologists, certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Occupational, Physical, Respiratory and Speech Therapists, Dietitians, Lactation Consultants, Social Workers, Pastoral care and other related medical providers. We work closely with local physicians to deliver the continuity of care our patients need to grow and thrive.

Provide total patient care including assessment, planning, implementation of basic nursing skills and unit specific skills needed to care for critically ill neonates.
Medication Administration -- administers medication correctly including calculations of dosages, verifies correct patient, drug, dose, and correct line and is able to verbalize basic understanding of drug actions.
Proficiency and productivity -- must be able to adjust to varying workloads, cleans work area, organizes work and complete assignments during shift.
Safety issues -- adheres to all safety / legal requirements established by this facility.
Professional growth and development -- attends all mandatory hospital and departmental in-services. Acquires and maintains current knowledge in nursing practice.
